Babies and the City
Today we took a trip into the city with some of my MOMS Club friends. We met at the ferry terminal and had a pleasant journey across the bay. After arriving in the city we walked down Market St. to the Nordstrom/Bloomingdale's mall where we stopped for a quick diaper change in the beautiful and very well appointed family lounge. We were all starving so we headed to the food court for lunch. I had some yummy fish tacos, but I was most excited about the wide selection of
gourmet sweets. I picked up some cookies from Tom's Cookies (beware if you click... their website barks!), some cream puffs from Beard Papa's, and some exotic chocolates from Cocoa Bella. I also had a pomegranate lemonade ice tea from Teaz Me. After lunch we strolled back to the ferry terminal where I picked up some cheese from Cowgirl Creamery and bread from ACME to go with our sweets for dinner tonight.Bubble Toes did very well on the trip with only one smallish meltdown, even though she did not get an afternoon nap. Unfortunately the meltdown included a biting session. It turns out that her top two teeth have popped through without our noticing. This may explain why she has been biting EVERYTHING lately, including me. She has developed an unfortunate new habit of biting in anger, which we are working on breaking. I still have marks on my finger where she bit me when I tried to stop her from biting the dirty window casing on the ferry. I hope we get past this development soon!
